                          As the market-leading end-to-end construction platform, Procore features and functionality are unmatched, but the overall user experience had become incongruent with the daily needs of its customers. It was siloed, overly complex, and lagged its competitors.

I led the argodesign team to define a modern experience. Prioritizing aspects that have an immediate impact on customers and the business, argo established interaction patterns in concert with a brand refresh, established a familiar, yet improved navigation system that could scale, and defined consistent patterns of integration for AI tools and agents throughout the experience.



Designing for AI and Emerging Technology

Procore had existing AI functionality with its CoPilot chatbot but it lacked a clear strategy for how the tools fit together and function across the platform. Without a clear architecture for surfacing its AI offerings, users didn’t understand what CoPilot could do, how to access AI-powered insights, or even what data was AI-generated.

argo redefined how Procore integrated AI across its platform, establishing a clear framework for where these AI-driven features show up, how users interact with them, and how they relate to the platform overall. The final design separates “AI insights” from the chatbot interface to position them as standalone features while creating a dedicated visual language for AI tools, including distinct icons and Procore’s core brand color to highlight AI across the platform.








From Fragmented Tools to a Cohesive Platform

Despite Procore’s robust capabilities, users found the platform hard to use. Siloed applications, inconsistent interactions, and a lack of connected workflows made daily tasks cumbersome and undermined customer loyalty. These usability issues not only hurt the product experience but also made the platform feel disjointed during sales demos—obscuring the value of an integrated solution. All of this was negatively impacting their bottom line.

argo introduced consistent UX patterns, streamlined workflows, and redesigned platform navigation to reduce friction and better connect tools across the ecosystem. By establishing a cohesive design language and reinforcing the relationship between different parts of the product, argo transformed Procore from a set of siloed tools into a holistic platform experience.


By improving usability and consistency, argo delivered a premium user experience that re-establishes trust in Procore’s user base while elevating the brand above the competition.  

The modern UI design, coupled with the new UX framework creates a compelling and valuable experience that matches Procore’s market position, price tag, and competitor offerings.
